Career Development in Life Sciences

Net+U - Amplifying Individual Impact

Help to get you to your career summit and to maximize your impact

🧭 Our Hypothesis

The wisest person learns from others’ successes.”
- John C. Maxwell

At Net+U, we’re exploring how career success can be accelerated by learning from others, especially those outside your immediate organization. We hope to build a space where professionals can connect with external mentors and peers to navigate challenges, make informed decisions, and unlock new opportunities.

🎯 Why Career Development?

Career development is often shaped solely by the individual or internal/employer feedback loops.

We believe there’s untapped value in external perspectives, especially in the Life Sciences sector, where career paths can be complex and nonlinear.

Net+U is an emerging effort to surface those insights and help individuals reflect more deliberately on their journey.

If you have a career plan - how did you arrive at it?

📊 What We’re Learning

•     Many professionals don't have a formal career plan or rely on personal experience only.

•     Confidence in trajectory is common - but often based on narrow feedback.

•     Progression often stalls around Associate Director or equivalent.

•     Many VPs reach that level by switching companies.

  • There is a need for external perspectives & shared learning - what Net+U aims to provide.
